2006 Contemporary Catholic Trends Survey Shows Americans Support Married Priests Too

According to the most recent Le Moyne College/Zogby International Poll Contemporary Catholic Trends survey, 64% of American Catholics who describe themselves as regular Mass attenders favor allowing priests to marry. That number rises to 81% among Catholics who attend Mass less than once a month.

The poll also shows Catholics' support for the bishops, the Pope, and their local pastors and their level of adherence to basic Church teachings on "life" issues. You can read more about it on the Zogby Web site.
